DRAMA GROUP2010-02-23
Under the direction of Kathy, the Lakeside Drama Group successfully put on two plays in 2007; "The Crate Escape" in February and "Jerusalem's Most Wanted" in June and in February 2009, the drama troupe presented "The Stupid Dummy's Guide to Higher Self-Esteem".
On February 6th of this year we were treated to two more performances. "The Wrap Group" was about a young man who attends a support group for people addicted to popping bubble wrap! It showed that trying to deal with addictions from a purely secular stand point can be futile. That through God we are made stronger and better able to overcome these addictions. The second play, "Season's Beatings-Live From Downtown" was about a reporter doing a live interview, on location during Christmas, trying to get passing shoppers to share their holiday cheer. She encountered a series of comically hostile or just plain nutty characters before a passing Christian helps her recover from her ordeal, and shares the true holiday joy. It was a wonderful evening filled with much laughter. We look forward to more shows in the future.
