A Word From Our Pastor

Welcome to our website, and thank you for stopping by.

We are a Baptist congregation (Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec) located in Pointe-Claire, in Montreal’s West Island. Our church is a Christ-centered fellowship of believers who believe that knowing Jesus makes a real difference in our daily lives. We don’t have all the answers to life’s questions, but we do know that God helps us to deal with it all day by day.

We see ourselves on a journey, discovering new things about the God who loves us, and about each other. It is wonderful to know that God has given us the fellowship and comfort of one another, as we travel this road of life together. We want you to be a part of this adventure with us.

Come visit us, and see for yourself what you think. Our doors are open to everyone. You don’t need to be a Baptist, all you need is a desire to know God better, to live closer to Him with each passing day. That’s what we are doing here, and we invite you to join us on that journey.

Come and enjoy the warm Christian fellowship. Look into the word of God with us. Spend some time in prayer with us. Find what you are looking for. God doesn’t intend for anyone to try to make it alone. We look forward to meeting you.

Our Mission Statement

Lakeside Heights Baptist Church has recently adopted our first Mission Statement. We are now using this statement to guide our decisions, and to measure how effective our programs are. Please consider its meaning for you, and how you as an individual might use it to further God’s work.

Our mission is to receive people in a warm and friendly manner, as we work to provide an opportunity for people to come to God through Christ.

We are committed to, and challenged in our spiritual growth through:

• Studying God’s word for its teaching, correction, and training
• Praying for each other and our society
• Celebrating our new life in and through Jesus Christ
• Communicating God’s promises to our community
